Special Touring 2011 BMW R1200R

With the R 1200 R, BMW Motorrad has a long tradition in the roadster of the building was constructed over decades. With heat output of 80 kW (109 hp), the housing cycle naked twin "Boxer" series offers an almost perfect synthesis of driving dynamics, agility and design of classic motorcycles.

Now, BMW Motorrad goes still further with the attractive package "Touring Special", the strengthening of the R 1200 R - which already has a solid all-round qualities - in terms of comfort and travel / tourism, fitness, and provide visual upgrade.

Equipped with this package, the R 1200 R has not only an onboard computer, as well as heated grips and easel.

In this version, including the R 1200 R does justice to the most demanding requirements in relation to tour / travel fitness with a new comfort seat, available exclusively in this package. As in the standard version, seat height 800 mm, but with a leg length within 1840 mm (standard: 1800 mm), giving a triangular ergonomic design for even greater comfort. The ergonomics of the top riders needs are addressed by available seats very comfortable with a height of 830 mm and a length of leg inside 1860 mm.

Sport windshield provides a perceptible relief to the upper body and comfort, especially on long runs. For the luggage of a special model of the R 1200 R has two bags of 32 liters and a block of common racks.

The package "Touring Special" can be combined with any standard paint finishes R 1200 R. A special touch is added chrome exhausts and LED indicators.

Other options for individualization are provided by the wide range of BMW Motorrad special equipment and accessories.
