The front brakes use two radially mounted Brembo four-piston calipers two platform operated by a master cylinder with adjustment lever. The handful of front discs 320 mm, 245 mm single disc, while the back is fastened with a simple Brembo. Typical of all Ducati, these components ensure high braking performance and set the standard in this segment. The Multistrada 1200 is also equipped with a Bosch-Brembo ABS, optional on the standard version and installed as original equipment in the "S" version. It offers exceptional performance in all conditions of braking and provides an important contribution to safety performance. An option to deactivate ABS is available through the instrumentation, but is automatically reactivated after the next power.

Ergonomics

The Multistrada 1200 has undergone extensive study of ergonomics using CAD and prototype testing repeated, ensuring a high level of comfort with a fully loaded bike to travel long distances. The "ergonomic triangle" of the handlebars, seat and footrest is designed for the driver and passenger, optimizing comfort while providing a position of command and control right. The Multistrada 1200 feels spacious and has the capacity to pilot and passenger in comfort, even with the box above and luggage in place. Its 1530mm (60.2in) wheelbase ensures that not only the weight of the passengers remains within the length of the wheelbase, but the luggage when loaded, a significant contribution to the dynamic performance of the bike. Underscoring its intention to multitask, attention to ergonomics has even been applied in the design of the driver's position foot in the stirrup, off-road style.

Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) by Ohlins

"S" version of the Multi Strada 1200 is equipped with the latest generation of 48 mm Öhlins Ducati with the innovative Electronic Suspension (DES). The new technology allows the fork with adjustable compression and rebound damping electronically controlled dash. Öhlins TTX rear shock Prize is electronically controlled and spring preload and rebound and compression. The electronic suspension can be done easily using the preset driving means, which were developed in Ducati test rider, or an independent state, which allows drivers to use their own personal settings. Adjustments can be made electronically sends the signal that activates an electronic actuator mounted on the suspension.

Sport Edition

Characterized by ABS systems and DES Öhlins, issued version of the 'S' with the support of Sport Relief some components of carbon fiber, including the timing belt off the air intake covers, rear fender extractors side air that improve both performance and sporty style.

ABS

Multi Strada 1200 offers optional Bosch-Brembo ABS system, which is fitted as original equipment on the "S" version. Pirelli Scorpion Trail

Ducati's technical partner, Pirelli, worked with engineers from the Multistrada throughout the project, the development of the new Pirelli SCORPION TRAIL specifically for the Multistrada 1200. The new tires are the first composite double reading for on / off road with a compound of the center section stronger. Combined with a special design and structure of the housing section provides performance 190/55 racing on the road in terms of grip and tilt angles, while ensuring high mileage for travel and good off-road. The new generation of tires are deliberately designed for the Multistrada four bikes in a single concept.

Adjustable Screen

Multi Strada 1200: The display is designed for 60 mm of vertical adjustment to ensure an effective protection against the wind for all heights pilot and effortless high-speed driving over long distances.
