MOTOR

, Liquid cooled, 1679 cc, DOHC 16-valve 65 ° V-4 engine is unmatched in its class. The compact engine allowed the engineers to put the engine in the "sweet spot" of the structure for optimum handling.

DOHC, 4 valves, "pent roof" cylinder head design offers maximum efficiency for the engine air performance incredible. Valve actuation is by wedges with a spoon. Compression ratio is 11,3:1.

Steel valves used for excellent durability. Intake valves are valves at an angle of 34 mm diameter 14 degrees when the exhaust valves are 30 mm with an angle of 15 degrees valve.

"Combination" of the chain and gear cam system is used. With this system, only the intake cams driven by a chain (attached to the crank) exhaust cams are driven by a cycle of intake cams. This design allows more compact cylinder head, such as distance or "pitch" between the camshafts are reduced.

Nose for a powerful engine performance incredible. Centrifugal pumps exhaust camshaft decoder fast, easy go.

Automatic hydraulic cam chain tensioner reduces mechanical noise of the engine.

Lightweight, forged aluminum pistons with short skirts help to provide quicker throttle response, reduced vibration and excellent durability.

The rods are carburized and use a nut under design. The lower end "cap" of the bar is in the same room as the top, this design is known as the "pooling of fractures." This facilitates the design through the creation of truly great final round, greater precision in the dimensions of the rod are extremely durable.

A 180-degree crankshaft design is used.

Balance shaft gear motor counter is used to reduce vibration and enhance driver comfort. The balance ratio is 50% to allow for some heart-rate monitor. Since the design of the crank is 180 degrees, there are some intrinsic effects and natural balance.

Cooling Twin is equipped with a curved top and bottom rad rad apartment for maximum cooling efficiency. Each has its own fan rad.

Oil-to-refrigerant heat exchanger of the type of oil cooler maintains stable lubricant temperature increase performance and engine life.

System wet-sump lubrication, oil is used and has a kind of spin-oil filter.

Fuel injection system uses four Mikuni throttle body 48 mm equipped with TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) and many other sensors. An oxygen sensor is mounted in the exhaust is a "closed loop" type FI. The benefits include excellent throttle response, good fuel economy, reduced emissions, stable idling and no choke trouble during startup. The closed-loop design means that the system continuously monitors the fuel / air mixture and adjust as needed for maximum performance and reduced emissions.

Denso 12-hole nozzles used for the reduction in consumption of atomization for maximum power and response across the entire rev range.

VMAX uses light to electronic central control unit (ECU), which actually consists of three - a total of ECU. The main 32-bit ECU controls the ignition and fuel injection process of fuel, while 2 and 3 ECU controls the essential YCC-T and YCC-I. This is a design "composite" reduces the weight of the unit.

YCC-I Yamaha Chip Controlled or admission means the intake funnels / stacks vary in length (between 2 positions) depending on engine speed. An electronic actuator varies the length of the funnel of 150mm (low to mid rpm) for the short 54 mm high speed. The transition or change between the length of two towers is 6650 RPM. The revolutionary YCC-I provides the best of both worlds, a great low end torque and power combined with advanced high-speed amazing. It takes only 0.3 seconds of one of the funnels to move from the height of the short position.

Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) electronic control valves for throttle response and improves maneuverability at all speeds. This system has two throttle position sensor (TPS) and DC motor control dampers. The YCC-T used to give even more control over the volume of intake air for the character of sweet couple. The driver can "mechanically close" throttling by simply closing the throttle grip.

Large capacity air box uses a paper filter type viscous air.

Air Intake System (AIS) injects fresh air into the exhaust port area to completely burn the unburned fuel, reducing harmful HC and CO for a cleaner environment.

System 4-in-one-on-2-4 in the exhaust gases are used. Not only does a serious style statement, but also offers excellent performance and reduced emissions through a honeycomb catalytic converter 3-way "box silent" on the engine. It also features Yamaha's patented Exhaust Ultimate Power valve (EXUP). This system controls the engine rpm and adjusts exhaust flow (through the valve EXUP) for maximum performance in all revolutions per minute with no "flat spots". This system helps to improve torque, to optimize fuel economy and reduce emissions as well.

The design of the crankcase includes cylinders in the upper half of the cases of reduced weight. Ceramic composite cylinder "holes" is a "liner less" design with the ceramic coating sprayed directly on the aluminum block to ensure ideal heat dissipation for consistent power delivery, reduced friction and reduced weight.

Open cover type cylinder liners are used for maximum cooling efficiency.

Light housing cover magnesium alloy is used.

Hydraulic control type slipper clutch with 10 of the friction plates are used to deliver clutch performances is compatible with a sweater and a driver for minimal maintenance. A shoe or a new limiting clutch reduces rear wheel hop during hard downshifts or during braking. The clutch master cylinder Nissin is a piston design with a 14 mm. The clutch lever has four adjustment positions.

Step 5-speed transmission optimized for acceleration and performance. The fifth is an overdrive to reduce engine rpm at highway speeds for a comfortable ride.

Clean, smooth and quiet tree low maintenance use. This system has two "U" joints to accommodate the extra-wide rear tire.

Compact Disc Rear axle gearbox assembly reduces weight and improves the style.

Functional part finished aluminum intake covers Yamaha quality and highlight the attention to detail.

ACM magnetosphere produces 420 watts at 5000 rpm.

High-performance direct ignition coils (ignition coil is integrated into the spark plug cap) reduce weight, while the spark plugs iridium and high-efficiency magneto deliver more spark.

Chassis / suspension

Lightweight aluminum frame is designed to provide an optimized rigidity balance to maximize handling. This framework is very rigid and rigid steering column, engine mounts and swingarm pivot. In other areas, is much less rigid to allow "tuned flex".

Extra-long, lightweight aluminum swingarm provides great torsional rigidity for excellent handling and maneuverability. The distance between the swingarm pivot and rear axle is optimized (662.5mm) for large rear-wheel traction. Threaded holes for running back stand type available.

Removable CF die-cast aluminum and extruded aluminum rear subframe allows easy access under maintenance (and less expensive to repair if the unit is "loop out").

Huge fully adjustable, conventional cartridge-type front fork features 120 mm 52 mm (4.7 ") smoothing wheel travel. The inner tubes have a layer of titanium oxide to reduce friction and wear. The design setting allows the driver to adjust suspension settings to match rider weight and road conditions to maximize handling and suspension performance. There are five ways to adjust the spring preload, plus the compression damping and 20 position rebound damping 17-way adjustable.

Lightweight triple clamps. The top is cast aluminum, while the lower triple clamp is forged aluminum. Fork pitch is 225 mm displacement is 30 mm.

Monocross link rear suspension uses a fully adjustable shock distance at the rear of the tank. Rear wheel travel is 110mm (4.3 "). Adjustments include spring preload adjustment means 11 (via the adjustment easy access to distance), compression damping and 12-way adjustable rebound 18 way of depreciation.

15-liter fluorinated polyethylene tank is mounted under the driver's seat and helps them to maintain a low center of gravity and mass centralization. It also provides space for large-capacity airbox. Fluorination treatment reduces the "penetration" of fuel vapors (hydrocarbons) into the atmosphere. Electric fuel pump is located inside the tank. Low fuel warning light comes on approx. 4.2 liters of fuel remaining.

Dual 320mm floating front wave style are squeezed by radial mounted rotors, monoblock 6-piston. The result is an incredible braking performance with excellent control and lever feedback. The master cylinder is a cylinder Brembo radial piston pump with a 16 mm main, a direct GP race innovation. The lever is adjustable for different hand sizes.

298mm wave-style rear disc is pressed by a piston-type sliding caliper using sintered metal pads and a teacher of 14 mm Brembo. The gripper is mounted below the swingram further improve treatment center of gravity.

Antilock brakes Yamaha has the latest version of the ABS system, very similar to that found in the FJR1300. The linear 3-position control of the ABS ECU has a hydraulic unit integrated in a compact integrated into the ECU and wheel active sensors with magnetic-type rotors. The benefit is reduced weight, excellent mass centralization and lever feel better feedback when the system is in operation. The main benefit of ABS is an excellent control under hard braking or braking on wet or slippery because the ABS prevents wheel lock.

Aluminum rugged yet lightweight 5-spoke wheels mag, front and rear. Advantage of the vacuum wheel "spokes" to reduce unsprung weight for superior handling. Front rim size is 3.50 x 18 with 120/70R18 tubeless radial tires, while the rear is a 6.00 x 18 with wide tires 200/50R18 tubeless radial.

A conventional cone? "Diameter low-rise handlebars.

Cool handlebar mounted multifunction meters include analog tachometer and digital speedometer and adjustable shift light and a variety of warning lights. A second multi-function display panel is in the top of the "tank" (actually the cover of the air). Readings in this panel includes fuel gauge, the fuel consumption display, odometer, dual tripmeters, clock, coolant temperature, gear indicator, throttle opening, the intake air temperature, a timer and total fuel in reserve. This panel uses a high-visibility 256 x 64 dot matrix "organic electroluminescent display." Adjust the brightness.

Bright H4 60/55-watt, halogen headlights

Eye-catching LED taillights means it uses less electricity.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Immobilizer, ignition system is designed to reduce the possibility of "farewell tour" theft. This system must recognize the "coded ignition key" for the boot drive. If the engine immobilizer does not recognize the key (or a screwdriver or other type of "tool of Jimmy") the bike will not start, even if the power or forced into position. If the system does not recognize the coded chip in the ignition, it will not allow the ignition system, fuel pump or starter motor to operate.
